Rare Jar of Cacoxenite Needles, from the well known Coon Creek Mine located in Polk County, Arkansas. Old Stock.
These rare cacoxenite needles were mined in the 1970s at the coon creek locale, near the Caney Creek Wilderness in Polk County, Arkansas, USA by a team of scientists and collectors including Al Kidwell, Meredith York, Henry Delinde, and others. The specimen examples were gathered together by us from Henry Delinde's collection, and put into this modern jar. These are great examples for study/examining under a loupe. Very rare material.
The cacoxenite needles collectively weigh approximately 1/2 a gram.
